TRANSMIC-VET is an Erasmus+ project that strengthens the skills of policymakers, entrepreneurs and tourism operators in micro-destinations. Through C-VET (Continuing Vocational Education and Training) pathways designed to update and develop skills of those already working in the sector, the project promotes digital and green transition, local governance and sustainable management of tourism seasonality. TRANSMIC-VET develops innovative curricula and open educational resources, fostering collaboration between institutions, businesses and local communities, and ensuring replicable solutions in different contexts.

Halland Region (Sweden), Lead Partner

Visit Halland is the official tourism management and promotion organization for the Halland Region in Sweden. It is committed to strengthening the tourism industry, fostering sustainable regional growth and consolidating Halland as a destination of excellence for visitors. It works closely with the six municipalities and regional divisions to integrate marketing, business innovation and sustainable practices into tourism development.

SERN Sweden Emilia Romagna Network (Italy)

Sweden Emilia Romagna Network (SERN) is a nonprofit organization that has been promoting cooperation between Italy and Sweden since 2005. It supports local and regional networks to develop digitized, green and inclusive communities through projects, training and exchange of best practices.

SveDest (Sweden)

Svensk Destinationsutveckling (SveDest) is a consulting firm specializing in tourism destination governance and management, active at national, regional and local levels in Sweden. It offers services in strategy, sustainable destination development, spatial planning and tailor-made tourism development projects.

L'Altra Romagna (italy)

L'Altra Romagna is a local action group active in the provinces of Forlì-Cesena and Ravenna, dedicated to rural and tourism development. It promotes cultural and natural heritage, supporting innovation, sustainable tourism and agricultural development by fostering collaboration between institutions, businesses and local communities.

Consorci de la Ribera (Spain)

Consorci de la Ribera is a public entity of the Valencia Region that brings together 47 municipalities in the Ribera Alta and Ribera Baixa districts. It focuses on socioeconomic development, sustainable tourism, environmental education, cultural promotion and renewable energy, promoting joint initiatives between local authorities, businesses and citizens

To contribute, through continuing professional education, to theempowerment of entrepreneurs, local policy makers and community leaders in micro-destinations by strengthening their governance capacities, promoting collaboration and fostering the development of sustainable tourism.

Total Budget: €250,000.00

Project activities focus on empowering local policy makers and entrepreneurs in micro-destinations through Continuing Vocational Education and Training (C-VET).

  • A C-VET curriculum for governance training in micro-destinations
  • A network of policymakers, community leaders, public officials, and business leaders trained and equipped with governance skills
  • An Open Educational Resources (OER) toolkit for governance training in the tourism industry.
  • A cross-sectoral C-VET approach for green and digital transitions in tourism
  • Continuing Vocational Education (VET) modules on strategies for extending the tourist season.
